The thing about advertising is it has to be factual... perhaps if you had done some market research you would have realised that this medium is already extensively being used. Our own groups, which includes WBA-Advertising have been doing this at professional levels for over 2 years in SL. We have 5 secure servers, delivering our media to over 260,000 viewers per month.
We are not alone, there are many talented companies/groups and individuals that are doing much the same.


I wish you all success in your venture and would like to see what quality levels you can acheive, bringing your finished media products into SL. From the short clips on YouTube, your production team seem to be of a high quality.

Hi AWM. I have expected specialy your answer, because I did of course a deep market research before we started this project Thats why I didnt said that A111 film production is the first company that way. Your are right - there are still some people in that business. Many of them did very well. But the story has to sides. On the first side there are the producers which are real enthusiats. But that is the point. Advertising films are not a project for enthusiasts only anymore. Thats the other side of the story, and I m sure u will agree: Now our customers must understand the oppurtunities in that way of marketing. This will be our work. Everyday I m talking with ppl about this, and all are absoultly faszinated about this "new" technology. Most are surprised which easy ways there are and which possibilities there are in this project. To make it short: lets bring it to the mass :-;

Where will you be broadcasting these ads? SLCN? How would they be seen?

Ah thats very easy. Our clients are getting the full movie in high definition. So they can post it on sites like Youtube or others. We can do it also, but because of memory limits the client should do that. That way this film could be streamed on their personal homepages. But the big deal is the following:

We are selling 1 Prim TV Screens where the films could streamed in world. Only the films u want, no TV, no XXX-Shows and so on. Just the films the client wants. So think about the following: It could be very intersting for example for a skin designer. We make a short film about the skin in world whereever he wants. After that he place the TV screen over its vendors. I bet that this will increase the sales And this example works for so many other things in SL.

I'm sorry I have to respond. The way you present yourself, you make out you have discovered some new technology and that your services are somehow unique. You also say you have done 'deep market research', if so, then you would not refer to your competition as 'enthusiats', which at best makes you niaeve.

Competition is welcome and needed in any market. You should also make sure you know your competition.

Thats ok, a new kid is in town and you want to keep your business - that's the way of life. I said what we are doing. You are 2 years in the busines? Congrats - you are rocking. And because it seems so important for you: I must confess that I am not the founder of Youtube, several hardware things, several editing software and unfortunatly not of Second Life. But keep this in secret - no one should know that

We have a new demo video of a fashion show. I must say that this is not our whole proud. The place was huge, I didnt know what happens next and there was a terrible lag. So really bad conditions for a live (!) video. Its not the best possible way to make videos in SL. But we used some special cuts for this to keep the view away from the lag.

But this was also a good experience for the production crew. After that we improved our equipement massivly. Now we are able to film really everywhere in SL with awesome camera movements. We tested that already on the laggiest places we could find. And it is working with really low jerking. For the next video i can really promise a milestone. We will publish the result also here - within 5-10 days.

You probably think I'm a pain in the ass.. but I offer an opinion and advice, what you do with it, is up to you.

Firstly... you need to focus on that that movie is about... Fashion... clothing and outfits... you need to show better detail like this example http://www.wba-advertising.com/ravenwear/fashionshow2008.html dont worry about jerky movements that happens to us all.. people who look at fashion show movies want to see the outfits and accessories in good detail, you are using a 3d medium, use it to its best advantages.. I got the feeling the movie couldn't wait to end.. if what you have isn't good enough, don't use it... you do yourselves a dis-service.. clearly whoever is capturing your footage and the editor, know their stuff, thats clear to see.

Lastly, dump YouCrude to show your skills... use BlipTV or something... its ruining your presentation.

Overall, I can see where you are going.... just maybe look at what route you are taking.

This time i wont say too much about the film...just watch it.

Important. I m not sure if it is allowed. It is no xxx-film. But there are some short scenes with a topless girl. So just decide yourself if u want to watch it*s

I wonder how you compare a staged movie with potentially 2 people in a sim in what can only be described as 'ideal conditions', in comparison to your last offering.. is is so different! I was perhaps expecting another fashion show movie, exhibiting the radical changes you indicated.

Your Director/Editor knows their stuff, that shows... I am just not convinced about your claims to change the way movies are done in SL, based on 'seasoned enthusiasts' that have been 'coping' so far?

I'll leave it that, I'm still waiting... I emplore you to not, stop trying. Lets at least see something that backs up your claims.
