Rock Your World Movie

I have just completed a project for OD Designs.. they make musical instruments in SL, and are licensed to replicate well known brands.

The quality of the products, along with the animations, are nothing short of superb. For this shoot, we arranged with the client to use RL band members on stage. The results speak for themselves.

It was an honour to work with these guys, they are perfectionists.

To give you an insight to the techniques used in the movie... apart from normal overlapped transitions, the rest are all Chromatic layers introduced in masks, which was then cross faded using chroma keying over 3 laters, in a progressive destruction method.

Everything else is just camera work. Made easy by the professionalism of the guys, products used and the stage....

Done a bit of tweaking I see

Having watched the movie like 50 times, I noticed a couple of minor scenes out of sync with the music, so made a couple of small alterations, most you won't even notice.

I also added some timed light flares to a couple of the scenes.

The Pyros and lighting effects on the stage required over 6,000 partical settings, combined with the guitar and drum effects, builds to an amazing crescendo.

And you're right about the animations. And how about
that swirling drum kit. =)

Those drums are wicked, they come with like 2 HUDs full of functions, too many to list here. Even the drumsticks come with functions lol.. Same with the Guitars and animations.

I loved the way the sound track builds up into a crescendo.
