Probably the best way to describe this piece is to call it an avant-garde soap opera. We wanted to try some drama in sl machinima and this is our first attempt. All the characters have been composited in after shooting them in green screen. Enjoy http://blip.tv/file/290150

Nice job, skribe! Has a professional feel to it with the editing, short scene transitions. I like the shot from under the water looking at the stars. =)
Did you use CrazyTalk for the facial animations?

At first I copied and pasted the link, but missed the last number from the URL, and was directed to a very dodgy video of latino boys and and even worse pop song soundtrack and I thought... eh?
Got there eventually! - Nice, well done.

Professional work, nice concept and beautiful atmosphere, although the story feels somewhat slow. I keep postponing trying CrazyTalk out. After seeing your work I can't potpone it anymore

Lip-synch Animations

It's nothing short of inspirational.
As a new-comer, where can I learn more about lip-synching the dialog?

Groovy. Very...contradictory. The feeling of the shots, angles, ambient sound, and pacing were peaceful...however, the subject matter was tense.
I liked it.
If you need voice actors for your next piece let me know.
The lip sync software works well...at least, how the director framed things leads us to believe it does.

One of those snippets that halfway through you ask yourself 'what is this about?', but by the end you suddenly get it. I use CrazyTalk and it's a great programme, I've done a few combination examples within iClone which is awesome (even if a steep learning curve), although will take a lot of effort to make any scene look like it was made with SL. The new emoticons just released by RealIlusions increases the potential for using CrazyTalk in movies as 'standard', adding the much needed 3rd perspective. Enjoyed the experience, thanks for sharing.
