SL 1.22.11 - Mac - BEWARE

Posting this here because I didn't get a chance to do a good run through on the new client until I started filming a St. Pat's party last night. The official release has bugs that the preview viewer didn't!

Camera goes into "wormhole" mode after about 50 meters. Everything flattens out and distorts.
Local lights are now strobes in flycam
Client doesn't seem to recognize linden trees as objects - I click right through them
Even without flight assist - motion become perpetual - have to log off to stop moving
Half rezzed hair and attachments
Animations get stuck - client side - What is the script that makes people's mouths freeze open like those blow up porn dolls? People still dancing while trying to do a tube race was kind of cute.
Missing textures in particle sources
Voice disconnects - streams stutter -
Bandwidth meter swings wildly - checked everything on my side - it's only in world - been noticing that one for a few days
AND the lighting looks "flat"
Yeah - I'm rambling - That's why it's in the machinima section :) This is the kind of stuff that only we might notice - and after a night of it - well, you guys understand.

Anyway - moving over to the release candidate to check that - Just wanted to give all you pioneers in here a heads up.

The flycam light bug is a known problem it has nothing to do with the Mac. I was on yesterday from a Mac with the new viewer and had no problems, perhaps it was the lag from the St Pat event?

I installed the new release Client, after less than 5 minutes, uninstalled it and went back to the previous offering... the bugs in this new release are noticably bad, and what surprises me is, checking the release notes: most reported as being 'fixed' are not.

I have to ask, what OS's and System combinations LL have tested this on? I also noticed voice looses the green radar indicators, this happens on both the toolbar button, and in active speakers.

Personally, I am very wary about any 'update' posts on the Client login page.. normally I will wait for responces on the forums before diving in. I do have some experimental Clients created by independants, which are more stable. Not everyones cup of tea, but in my opinion, they offer greater stability and functionality than the LL offerings.
