Here's the video: I can't put it on YouTube, because of music copyright (Meatloaf). I don't think it's fair, because this video was only for me and my girl and possibly some friends. I've tried YouTube's 'fair use' option but it was denied. I can't understand why. I've even bought and own this Meatloaf CD in real life and I have no commercial intentions for this video. The only thing I want is to show it on an in-world TV so me and my girl can watch it together. This TV requires YouTube, and Blip makes movies too pixelated. I don't want to violate copyrights. Heck, I myself make many things in SL that I want to protect from copybots. But I BOUGHT this CD, I paid for it and I own it. AND it's fair use because I have no intention to use the music commercially. Please, does anyone have a tip for me?

It's still copyright infringement if you put it on any public streaming site. Youtube lets some things stay as they have struck deals with the publishers, but not Meatloaf, clearly.
Blip is your best option as they are not so rigorous at taking copyrighted music down. Try converting to a mov file and upload that to blip. It should stream no problem if you get the settings right.

Part of the copyright conditions is a thing called 'Re-Broadcasting', this means any form of playing, streaming and or display of the content, violates that copyright. You are entitled to play your CD on a private player, within your own home, and or car, for private use only. The grey area is when you play it in your own home, whilst friends etc are invited round, you must not charge entry into the building where it is being played, nor must the event/venue be considered a place of entertainment.
Broadcasting over the internet, is a no no. The main reason is accessibility, especially if you host it on a public server such as YouTube/Blip etc. Purchasing the CD does not give you rights of ownership, it is simply a transport mechanism, you own the plastic, not the content.
The music industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, that will defend its copyright entitlements vigoursly. Some people think 'they wont come after me, I'm under the radar', well places like YouTube put you on the radar. They will at first go for high level profiles such as the owners of YouTube, they have also made demands on Governments, and before long, they will start casting their nets wider. Once the principals have been set in courts, then other industries will follow.

Change the music, look for another adequate music from an independence band or musician, ask for permission and lets go. There's a lot of free or CreativeCommons music all over the net.
