Hi, this is the first thing I've shown on this forum. It's nothing serious, just a bit of fun for another forum, but I intend to use the effect for other projects. In this case I've used the effect to give the impression of an invisibility cloak at work (that eventually fails), but I'm going to use it for more of a ghostly scenario sometime soon. The avatar being filmed is me and it was filmed by me ..... this made life a little more tricky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgz2F2g51dE

Id guess its two separate videos overlapped, one with him walking and one with him not in the shot and fade back and forth with opacity

Bang on Robustus. Thankfully it's possible to walk with the arrow keys while in flycam mode. Although walking towards your own camera is a bit tricky, I think I need a lot more practice. Also, as you've probably guessed, the scene needs to be static otherwise you get a weird effect with the overlap. However if the movement is random, like the fog at the beginning, it seems to work OK.
