Is there a step-by-step how-to on this? I'm using the camera in the alt-zoom machinima kit (alas, mac user, no Fraps)
Also, I need to find a good Texas-style dive bar (bud neon signs, stage, dark and seedy preferred) for a location shoot.
And a BBQ apron, hat, and, of course, spatula.
Thanks for any and all advice.

Here's how I do it on my MacBook Pro: 1. Connect DVI to S-Video adapter to computer and connect the S-Video cable to the DV camera's analog input. 2. Set the MacBook Pro display to mirror the desktop on the DV camera. Set the resolution to 800 X 600 3. Connect a mini plug to RCA cable from the audio out on the computer to the analog audio in on the camera. 4. Turn the camera on in VCR mode 5. Set up the shot in SL 6. Put your camera AV into mouse look and then hide the UI by typing Ctrl-Alt-1 7. Press Record on the camera 8. Hit F12 to start the shot

BTW, I really like this method better than using something like Fraps on a PC or SnapzProX on a Mac since your computer is free to just run SL and doesn't have to record video at the same time.

Yeah, it might have some advantage but actually with Fraps I like the fact that I don't have to capture it again and it's already on the HD.
I might test though one day how the two methods compare quality-wise for my setup.
