Many of us are aware of the impact Second Life and it's like are having on the education of tomorrows adults and even those in university already, from law student's setting up an SL court to online classes in just about any subject. Education has always been of huge significance in the technology industry from the wetdreams of scientists who imagine the ability to download information directly to our brain and from the more skeptical side where, teachers are beginning to learn the value of virtual education. Indeed children are known to respond better under these circumstance's in many conditions. Now i know we have tons of video demo's from Second Life depicting jetsking, racing, flying etc all the fancy exciting stuff but what about a video designed as a presentation for teachers considering SL's potential for teaching their students, a demo depicting the possibilities for education in a virtual environment would be useful. What i suggest is Linden Lab's draft out some example lessons for students and then invite several different classes from schools/colleges/university's (students at different levels to empathise the many levels of education in SL) and then film them as they interact with SL in an educational constructive way. Make a promo with images from RL and SL as these students and teachers test the future of education. Let me know whatyou think.
