If you speak German, and are interested in working with Linden Lab as we develop a region for German-speaking Second Lifers, we'd love to meet you!
We're looking for native speakers (bi-lingual in German and English) who can help us with small translation tasks, evangelize SL on German-language websites, and help us build out the German language area and forum.
If you're interested, please drop a notecard on me (Robin Linden) in Second Life including your resume and availability.

I can do translation jobs and contacts in German as well as English. My schedule is tight, but I'm willing to help whenever possible. Notecard will be sent in-world when I get home

Not sure that position's still up.
Did you see the date at which Robin posted this? 18th of August 2005 ^.^
But I can translate, too, beeing a US citizen who never lived anywhere but in germany. *smiles*
Or simply make use of both Zi and me, and we'll discuss the texts then and, after a certain amount of friendly bashing, will return the perfect translation. ^.^

Argh! True! The original post is old, and I only saw the reply. I guess there's been a lot of notecards transferred already But anyway, can't hurt to ask Robin if more help is needed.

*giggles* I am impressed! That many people to assist in translation issues? wow!!
I wonder, how that might affect some regions, where people have to ask for an english translation, since the german isolation mode keeps on growing.

I already posted some updates to the German translation of the viewer on jira, and I intend to fix it even more whenever I get the time. I like doing translations and the German version really needs a makeover badly

From: Hannibal Prinz Year and Hello,
yes, a lot of germans need translations, so i am in sl since jan, round 1500 hours sl, so i help with fun, to develop sl ... Psssst, Hannibal....I don't want to tread on your toes or anything, but they were looking for people who are practically bilingual to translate stuff, it's not enough to just "know about SL". I would have offered help in translating, but the original post is over TWO years old....

Lovly greetings Hannibal I bet! But there is also a JIRA issue dealing with German translation problems that you might want to vote on! http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-684(Actually it says it's fixed in the newest version, maybe you want to open a new JIRA issue? I don't use the German viewer.)
