SL in-world experience for non-North Americans

Please forgive my posting in English for I do not speak German.

I am writing an article that considers the different in-world experiences of residents from locations other than North America.

I'm based in the UK and have also logged in from German speaking Europe. I have met and made friends with people who turned out to live in the US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand.

The point is I did not know where they lived for much of the conversation. One of the many amazing things about SL is you make judgments on people based on their SL presence, not real life looks, location, age, wealth etc etc.

Hi Dani - Indeed, I agree with you. I hope my post did not sound like I was trying to judge. I am just curious if residents from different parts of the world have a different intrinsic experience because of their location. It may turn out that SL erases all of these RL differences (real or perceived) which in my opinion is a good thing. Either way, still an interesting topic for discussion.
