Opened up land info button, It was priced at $16 for 16m,
was reading window for 2 seconds, then clicked buy and it said I just paid Person X $1000. So I figure he must have bought just after I opened land info and set new price.
I askeed him for the money back, but he just said Sucker and logged off. So now I'm out $1000.
Lindens should fix this so this can't occur.
So if owner of land changes while this window is open it can't complete transaction.
EDIT WAS I TOOK NAME OF PERSON OUT, DID NOT REALIZE IT WAS AGAINST TOS , Sorry. bout that.

Ouch! That does suck! I'm sorry that happened to you and that this kind of thing probably wasn't the first time or the last that someone has done this (it starts a trend
 ).I haven't purchased land in a long time (and won't since I'm not moving), but I would like to know how does the land confirmation window look. Is it clear? Did it state the 16L or the 1000L and you clicked on it too quickly? Just in case, this has happened to me with other buttons, sometimes out of being in a hurry and other times by poor ditziness on my part. _____________________

Ok lindens said they tested this today and it can't happen, It did happen and if anyone is intertested in testing this with me in game .IM me and we will try on that 16 that i bought at
$62/m2 lol. Mind you we will try at $1 and chnage to $2. We will need at least 2 people two must open windows same time.same time while both click buy at same time, then one waits while other confirms and changes price.Then second person confirms after first person changes price. |
