I didn't want this to get lost in the various threads. Thanks very much for putting on the Expo. I was thrilled by the chance to exhibit my work, especially two of the garments which are from my personal collection and I have never sold. I also enjoyed the catwalk event, technical issues aside. And by the way, I was the first to fall off the catwalk, as predicted.
It was great to be able to see so many designers in one place, especially new people whose work I had not seen before. As SL grows, it gets harder and harder to stay on top of what people are doing. An event like this helps.
Yes, I have problems with there being a contest. But those are my personal issues, which I think I have stated clearly, and in no way reflect on the hard work of the people putting together this event.
I look forward to seeing your write up in NWN.

I agree Surreal. Thanks for posting this. I didn't want my withdrawl to make me seem like an ingrate. But, I do appreciate and think that the Fashion Expo was a great idea.

Hey Surreal with the apt name, it was cool to see you before the show in snow and then see you up there with Phobos Designs advanced textiles technology... represent!!! That was a graceful comeback too (on the stage).  |

I'd like to say the same, tho I spaced entering the actual fashion show, I was there and I agree wholeheartedly with Surreal that it IS nice to have a chance to see some of the newer designers who are out there. When I went to Zumatt to look I was impressed with some of the talent that's out there that I hadn't even known existed. And thank everyone for their nominations and for the chance to participate.
