Re: Announcements 8/1/03
Thank you, Peter and all other Lindens involved with the process of normalizing the tax structure. Thank you for hearing us and for being sensitive to our needs. Sometimes it takes a bit of radicalism to draw the focus to a problem, but I think you know where our hearts are, and that we love our Second Life and our Lindens.
I look forward to an amicable resolution to our difficulties.
Long live Second Life!

Hmm, does this mean the imminent revolt has been postponed to a later date? And what do others think of the Lindens' recent decision, vis a vis taxes?

There will be no postponement until an adequate resolution can be reached. The reimplementation of the -1000 tax limit is a temporary solution but can not be a means to the end of this revolution. We need a stronger solution, so as not have to cheat the system to survive. We would like it to end to, but it's time to raise our voices, until we are represented. Please from here direct all questions to General Fleabite Beach. Rep. Crow

My post is not intended to indicate an end to the so-called "revolt." And I do not speak for all in this matter. Rather, it is an acknowledgement that I have seen Peter's post in "Announcements" and wish the Lindens to know that their decision in this matter, albeit a temporary and preliminary one, is appreciated and is a step in the right direction.
When I say that "we love our Second Life and our Lindens," I hope that this accurately reflects the feelings of the majority, and while it is true, it should not be construed that this is an indicator of appeasement.

We all love our "Second Life " and the Lindens .......we just want to be able to for a lot longer .....as alot of us will be broke due to taxation soon . so how will we be able to continue if we have no money to be creative ?
