Hey, I am the current head of Second Life Television, and the company that has founded it, Second Life Broadcast Company. If you are looking for a streaming server that is SL capable, then all you need to do is look for a codec that is supported by Quicktime. If it can stream in Quicktime it will work in Second Life. We are using our own streaming servers and DSS (Darwin Streaming Server), compiled on a Debian Linux box. Here is some information on Apple Quicktime streaming and video technology. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tools_tips/services/ The Second Life viewer uses Quicktime to do in-world streaming, so that should be a good place to start. I will include some SL compatible hosting services: http://www.kingshosting.com/plans.phphttp://www.colocationny.com/streaming.asphttp://www.systame.com/html/quicktime-streaming-server.htmlhttp://www.frontpages-web-hosting.net/streaming.media.hosting.htm If you have any other questions feel free to catch me in-world! Take care! .fox
