Forgive the newb question, but where can I go to fly my Slipstream without every 15-20 seconds running into someone's 512 m2 plot with no-fly set? I can't move and have to relog after getting thrown from my aircraft. Even the sim around Abbott's Aerodrome is littered with no-fly land. Thanks in advance for any tips.
Peace,

If you look on the map for Cordova, the sandbox, there are about 6 sims just north and some a bit north-west of it, that seem to serve that very purpose. I believe that folks from the Aerodrome and Kazenojin like to test out their airships, planes, what-have-you, in that area. Because they're largely empty of builds, they don't usually seem to attract any kind of crowd.

Also, I'd check out some of the private islands....some are almost empty, others not so much, but from what I've seen, private islands (overall) have the least lag of anywhere on the grid.

BTW, no-fly (or no-script, or no build) on a parcel won't cause you any problems flying most vehicles above them. It's more likely to be one of the traditional problems: sim lag, sim border handover, or giant buildings that haven't finished loading into view. All no-fly means is if you land and walk around you can't just hop back into the air.
The six sims north of Cordova are intended for vehicle use, but many of us vehicle users tend to wait until a whole group of new sims is brought online, and fly around there before they fill up with new builds.

the problem is that sims are too SMALL! 256 meters really isn't very much space... not only are there weird artifiacts on sim bounderies, but I'd love to see the ocean opened up somehow, so that we could fly or boat out there. I;m sure I'm going to hear "blah blah technical blah blah", but hey - it's software. It's possible. It's not like we're trying to break the laws of physics by having a real ocean

The best place to fly a plane (or whatever) is the vehicle park -- the six sims just south of Oak Grove. New, empty sims are another good place to fly.
I also wish that sims were larger, and I would love to be able to fly across the empty spaces between sims instead of bouncing off the invisible sim walls.

I agree 1000000000% Cubey. I would use nifty vehicles to travel more if I didn't have to deal with: 1) No-sim "gaps" in the map. 2) Sim border handover problems 3) Crashing into slow-to-rez buildings as I fly along I'm one of the people who rushes to a new sim zone to fly around before the land gets developed.

Thanks for all the great replies, and propz to Cubey for all the great aircraft I've bought from him, and to Marcos for the slick avatar. I will definitely check out your recommendations!
