I don't know what made me try this... but I strapped on the snowboard at the bottom of the lift and headed up.... Now I didn't take the chairlift like normal people do... I snowboarded up!
Stop... re read that. Yes, I said I snowboarded up... all the way up to the top of the lift.
It was the funniest thing that has happened to me since I joined SL.
After I stopped laughing, I went boarding. Great fun... until I went way off a run (just as in real life) and couldn't board my way out. So, I did the real world thing and took the board off figuring I'd walk out...Wrong thing to do.
Practically the entire run was a no build zone. So... you guessed it... had to fly all the way back to the bottom of the hill just to strap the dang thing onto myself again.
Not what the snow-Gods intended I am sure.
Is there any way to make some sort of temp-rez exception for the ski runs so that this doesn't happen again?
Or am I over looking something obvious?
Did someone else come up with a better solution if they had this problem?
