First you are-- beat me to it!
Good to be here. This is a place to comment on my journal, and to use it as a springboard for discussion. And most important for me, it's also a place to weigh in with your own observations of the world unfolding in Second Life. Who knows, I might quote you in the journal. And if you think there's something going down in SL I should know about, by all means, e-mail (wjamesau@secondlife.com) me.
Meanwhile, feel free to jump in, make intros, and we'll let things roll from there...

Aha! I thought it might be you. A few nights back someone said "Hamlet Linden" and I remember thinking, "Okay, have to meet them...." Then of course I never got around to it!
Should be interesting to read what you write and discuss it, Hamlet. Welcome to Second Life -- may your stay here be fulfilling.

Hi James (or should I call you Hamlet )... Read both of your articles so far... however I need to point out one very minor point in your latest article. George Michael never performed in A-Ha... he was one half of Wham (and if you don't believe me, ask hunter Linden, since was used as one of the questions during the first 80's Trivia contest). Other than that, you have been writing some excellent stuff. Maybe I will get to meet you inworld so we can talk about writing. Bye bye for now, Alexis

Very interesting. Well, I'll see if I can't come up with some new clothes. It's time I made some male clothing anyhow.

Whoops-- Wham, not A-Ha. (Smacking forehead.) Thanks for updating my database of corrupted 80's trivia, Mz. Fairchild.
Hey there, Tracy-- cool, another Hawaii local! What part of Honolulu are you in? I was just there for Christmas, on a too-short visit. (Of course, it always feels too short.)
And thanks for the welcomes, all. Only a week in, I can already tell Second Life community is becoming something pretty cool.

Cool, deal-- two of my uncles and their families also live in the Salt Lake area. When I visited them as a kid, I was always impressed by where they lived, because it seemed like they were in the big city, with all the tall buildings and the Pearlridge Mall, which had (of course) the best videogame arcade. Seemed way cooler than boring, fairly rural Kailua.
(This must be boring non-Hawaii folks here to tears-- ah well!)

We lived in Enchanted Lakes for awhile, I miss the “rural” Kailua and the green. Just goes to show, the grass IS always greener on the other guy’s lawn, what little grass we have.
However, your right about the mall. Other than Dave & Busters, it has the best arcade around.
*Hands everyone a tissue for their tears*
