 Ya know, I don't play SL at all that much...ever since they took away the hosting payments and such. But when I DO want to play, it sure would be nice to be able to log in! |

I have tried for two days to log in. I see that some of my friends are online, but have no idea why I can't. People pay a lot of money to play a game at least it should work right, and you should be able to LOG in. |

*group hugs* please remember that this is maxed out tech on a relatively low budget, we are lucky to have this and LL sure as hell doesn't want to have these problems but, as many here know, that type of tech gets glitches...

Ok. I can buy the fact that there are login problems. But why is it that some of us just CAN'T log in while others are happily playing?
In my situation, I try for HOURS to log, then, withim 5 minutes I freeze. THis has now been going on for 3 days.

Correct me if im wrong but i dont think they have paid for a little while.. Its ok with me this way makes my creative genes kick into gear and create things. You also have to understand that with technology such as used for secondlife there will be outages and down times.. most online games have scheduled maint and go down either daily or weekly so i consider us lucky! |

Well there is a preview test happening for for the new patch. I would assume it is using the same server and might explain the delays or not getting connected all together. I quit another game to play this one. I would like to download the preview but would be afraid I cound not get in the 1.6.4 version all weekend.

Well. I'm just curious as to: what is the difference between those who are playing now and those of us who can't? If others can play, why can't I? Is it my puter? My connectivity? My video card? I know there are tech/login problems. But why are others playing? What have they done to accomplish this and I can't?

It's the same reason why a hundred people can be driving the same car but half of them have cars full of problems while everyone else's cars run fine. It's just a software issues that is probably happening more often on certain hardware than others (so yes, it probably has to do with something on your computer but doesn't mean you computer sux, just a minor glitch). I too have problems getting logged in but once I'm in, I am in until I quit  |

I have learned that if you get in you better stay because I was in earlier today but logged out to do some rl stuff and now I can't get back in. Should have just left my av dancing and come back later rather than logging out.

lol. I have managed to log on at least 10 times today. Long enough to IM friends. Then, within about 5 mins, everything stops...I freeze. It's just frustrating. As the saying goes: "This too, shall pass."
Maybe I'll go play POGO or someting, take my mind off this.
