I use it nearly every time that I check posts - although with the sheer volume of posts occasionally, the "Subscribed Threads" section of the User Control Panel serves better.
Yeah, subscribed threads, that's the ticket...

I don't use it because there are too many forums that I'm just not interested in.
That, and I usually read the forums in a specific order, the "New in Second Life" forum being the last one I read, most of the time.
