I had a friend this morning tell me that the Sim she had been working on for more then a week now (she was hired to help build from someone who bought a whole sim) was somehow completely wiped clean. That everything she had been working on had been returned to her, everything in the whole sim and a few other privately owned sims were just "returned" or thrown off world, tho it was not the owner of the land that did the returning.
I am a bit confused as to how that could happen, and why it would be allowed to happen. How disheartening is it to see your efforts wiped clean by some ignorant individual who has as thier sole purpose in SL decided to destroy rather then build? I have considered myself buying a sim and the thought that I would spend that kind of money only to have a childish little twerp come and eliminate my efforts means that I wont be buying a sim until this sort of thing is no longer possible.
Is there a way to protect against this sort of attack? Is there ANYTHING being done by the Lindens to prevent these sorts of attacks?

Are you sure you didn't just have the land set to automatically return objects that did not belong to the owner? I don't think other people can return objects. Only the owner of the land.

nope, it wasnt just a mistake on the part of the owner... and it didnt happen in just a single sim....

Sounds like a bug, and the Lindens should have a way of rolling those sims back.
