Being perma-banned from the forums for one ban in game is a little extreme.

This is probly in the wrong area but the title says it all. there should be some way to un-ban yourself here. My idea is this, make your ban on the forums 10 times longer than your first ban in game(if im banned a week, i cant use the forums for 70 days) 15 times longer for the second, etc. Its still extreme, just a lot less crazy and pointless.

Aren't we all adults here?

Why do we need so many chances before we learn we have to behave responsibly?

I agree with tyrant ludd.

A friend of mine was experimenting with scripting on his own land, and messed up. Very minor, anyone who tried to land on his parcel was slowly pushed to the outer boundry, no mega push or anything. He received a 2 week ban, and for a small mistake, he can never access the forums again...a bit extreme in my oppinion

Ooo guys I heard of this before. It's not a permaban from the SL Forums... it's actually a forum BUG, what you need to do is send an email to support or contact a Linden like Jeska, and you can hop back on.

(And no, it's not 'cuz I was in this position myself, LOLEX, but I do know peeps who were!)

It is just that game account un-suspension is automated but it doesn't appear that the forum un-suspension is. The last official word I saw on the matter was to write a brief e-mail to jeska@secondlife.com for most expedient processing. It would probably do you well to attach a copy of the suspension notice as "proof" of your parole date.

Torley is correct - there is a known forum bug that sometimes affects those who have been suspended in world, just send a note to support@secondlife.com or IM me in-world (Jeska Linden) and we'll take care of it.

"Why do we need so many chances before we learn we have to behave responsibly?"

Unless you know the exact reason why i was banned, how long its been since my last ban..or ANYTHING besides what you know now(nothing at all) saying i can't behave responsibly is nothing more than an uninformed assumption.
