ok, so the location wasn't exotic, but the instace was cool.

I was online early (like first week) of the beta, and philip was logged in. We chatted and he told me he was in NY to do a demo, and was staying at teh TriBeCa. He was logged in from the hotel - and the cool part:

"I kind of had to hack the hotel's network to log in."

w00t!

see cas, this is who you are supposed to worship in SL!

I logged in from my exercise bike once...wasnt very comfortable though. That isnt very cool.

My real dream is to login to SL while onboard an airplane, using the highspeed internet access that is available on many international airlines such as British Airways. SL at 40,000ft is probably pretty cool

Let me see if I can explain this so it's understandable.

1. I live on the first floor of a condo complex

2. The units swimming pool is directly outside my bedroom window.

3. I have a wireless network.

4. I think you can figure this one out from 1-3 above.....

I'm sure I'm not the only one but my first log in to SL was durring class (Advanced Operating Pragmatics to be exact).

But I'm pretty sure swimming pool in Hawaii beats that out.

Hmm....my Wireless Network will probably reach my pool...but, I am not so sure Laptop + Water is such a good idea.

Well I accessed SL in a car yesterday on the way to a ball game. Seems my brother had this new laptop setup and I told him I bet it couldnt handle SL. We're still sorting it out. I was able to get on and do a couple things but it was PAINFULLY slow and I ended up crashing out.

Uh, and no.. I wasnt driving

I was sitting in a Unix/Linux Windows interop training session in NYC, two days of "here's how you can make them talk". I had my good laptop up, and saw a "wireless network detected" bubble. I grabbed the network and and connected but couldn't browse...IP trouble. So, seeing that the name of the network was "linksys", and knowing how the default ips are structured, I took a guess at a few, and apparently nailed a valid one.

What was funny (sorta) was that I logged on inside the secure area of the datacenter.

I have an 18 hr flight the 23 to france and will log in if my boyfriends lap top can handle it. hahahah
