Because for some strange reason, neither of us can be found at the same time online!

Hamlet, give me a specific hour that you will be on Tuesday so I can give you your pretty little glasses :p

Thank you :D

Heh! Sorry, Mr. Zeeman, I must have just missed you the other day, when I jumped online to get my specs. Unfortunately, the stress-filled run up to E3 meant my log-ins into SL have been sporadic, recently-- sometimes in the late evening, sometimes after midnight, and so on.

I'll try to get into the world from the E3 booth, in the afternoon of the next few days: hope to see you online then.

And after the Los Angeles madness is over, hopefully I'll get back to a more regular schedule, and post it here...

Hah, you ain't the only one with a sporadic schedule!

With the release of The Matrix: Reloaded tomorrow, I've got friends already out of college to come visit me while I'm still in college to take me out and go see it.
At the same time, I'm wrapping up my first school year here at RIT, which means a pile of work on my lap for final projects, and studying for the various final tests comming later this week, and next week.

So, tending to both means sporadic logins for me too. I'll try to be on during the afternoon, maybe I can catch you. Also I might get picked to have my stuff shown on friday around noon-time (I'll be holding an event) so maybe you could show up then.

Cya around! (Hopefully :D)

Sounds good!

So what'd you think of Matrix Reloaded, anyway? Haven't seen it yet, though I've heard Decidedly Mixed Opinions, so far...

Ahh this will stir up MUCH conversation if you include it into your little blog thingy ;) Really, I'm free all this week until friday. I'll be on A LOT so we should be able to meet up sometime.

Anywho, I think the movie was awesome. What people need to understand about the Wachowski brothers is that they built this movie to make people read into it, whereas most movies are just "watch -> enjoy -> forget". The Matrix trilogy is "watch -> not understand -> watch again/figure things out on own/go online -> understand -> watch one more time and fully enjoy"

At least, that's the way it seems to me. When it comes to the matrix, you can't "read too much into it", you pretty much HAVE to read too much into it in order to get the full enjoyment and benefit from it.

www.thelastfreecity.com is an awesome place to get some really in-depth ideas of what's going on, as far as the plot goes.

Amazingly enough, a lot of average viewers believe the chatter is filler and the fight scenes are where it's at (and were considered sub-par to expectations). However, the action was actually the filler and the conversation was where the big stuff was happening.

I've seen the movie a couple of times now and honestly, I can't tell what's CGI and real anymore. That whole effect seems to fade away more and more every time I watch, and I enjoy the movie more and more every time. Not just because I find new things, but because it's just plain more enjoyable. The Wachowskis rightfully deserve every dollar I hand in to that box office.

My rating of Reloaded is a 9/10 only because I disagree with a lot of the music they decided to place in specific scenes where I felt much better music could have been placed. The Burly Brawl music was much too "FF7 Final Boss"-ish in my opinion. Otherwise, awesome movie! :D

Good review!

I've been thinking about writing on the influence of the Matrix films on Second Life. Seems to be a major stream, along with Blade Runner and Snow Crash. (The Lindens were recently wondering how many folks are named "Hiro" or "Protagonist", in tribute to that latter book.)

One of the last name choices is "Protagonist" and the person who reserved the "Hiro Protagonist" name isn't a regular player (they have no ratings, which is how you can tell). But yeah, there are a lot of "Hiro"s in game.
