The most impressive site in the conference room at the SLCC in New York was the plethora of Mac laptops. There were several PC laptps, but the Macs far outnumbered them almost 2 to 1. Mostly Powerbooks in all three flavors, 12, 15 and 17 inches. I had my 15 inch Powerbook and thanks to the freely available wifi, I was able to log into Second Life while watching the conference. It was totally cool.

Now on to my title subject. It's not far away, less than 3 months. So I was wondering who would be going and whether there would be any interest in doing a similar thing like in NY at MacWorld. Seeing as it's in MacWorld, it wouldn't be that hard to get together with the Lindens.

I am so appreciative to Linden Labs for providing a Mac platform, it would be nice to show them a unified Mac group meeting.

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?
Yes, it's true, I have a blog now!

Ooops Maybe I posted this in the wrong place. Is that why there aren't any responses?

Jeska can you move it? I see this is Technical Issues. Is there a Forum for just discussing Mac stuff?

I would like to say that this is a really cool idea. A natural.
One would think huge numbers of SL folks will be attending given the Mac focus.

I would also like to add to the SLCC folks.... please post some pictures!
I have been looking and all I found were two shots with almost no faces. For those of us that can't attend these things, the vicarious entertainment of looking at the snaps is all we got.

Thanks :)

Funny you should mention this. I have some pics in world at the Magnolia Beach Learning Center in Guam. I am having an event tonight to give some of my anecdotes and show off my photos. The photos themselves are up now. Enjoy.
