Hi there,

I worried about whether this should be written here or Technical Issues though.
I became not to be able to load and save files on Poser5 after changing MacOSX 10.4.
Is there anyone who can use Poser5 in the same stuation as me?

Hello Bobby,

Thanks for your information. The other ppl around me told it worked fine, too.
hmm... just my personal problem? I tried to do everything, re-install and so on.
One thing I found was that it would be stuck when the other mini-pop-up window was about to be opened, like yes-no notification. :o Anyway, thanks.

And I might have to add another condition. G5.
I found someone say Poser 6 doesn't work on his 10.4 OS on his G5 machine.
64bit something might cause something bad.
Bobby, are you also using G5? :o

Hi DNA,

Do you also use G5 machine? If you would try to re-install Poser, you would be stuck with registration because that request window would not open.
Since I bought another HDD for Tiger, so I could try to use the same application on both Panther and Tiger. I wish Curious Labs would announce it soon.

I've upgraded from Poser5 to 6 for a couple of month. And I installed SR1 updater, but the state is not changed. I couldn't load and save any poser animations.
But I realized the window to browse file directories was just hided behind the Poser's main window. So at first if you let the main window minimized and put into Dock, you can load and save your animations. And you'd better close windows as much as possible. But forgetting it, you must do forced termination.
It annoys us much. But we can use it. Hope this helps someone who has the same problem.

I have Poser 5 and I had the same problem. The open/save dialogue boxes was behind the main window. Even when I selected the dialogue box through the dock pop up, I was still unable to save or do anything. I had to resort to putting Panther back on the Powerbook and just having Tiger on the dual 2.3.

I wrote Curious Labs and they wrote back that they had no plans to update Poser 5 to be Tiger compatible and that they were aware some people have problems even with Poser 6 and Tiger.

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?
Yes, it's true, I have a blog now!

Hello April, that was why I upgraded Poser, but it was the same result. Now I trying to do the same trick on Poser 5, it has worked well.
Just before selecting "Save (as)" on the pull down menu under "File", you have to let the main window fold and hide into the Dock to press the "-" button left upper on the main window. Try to do this. You mean the main window pops up back when you select save?
