I haven't seen it addressed in any of the recent builds, preview or otherwise...

If you mean "will ripple water not suck the life out of my video card", the answer is no, we haven't made progress. The problem isn't our software, it's Apple's drivers. This isn't something we can fix. We have reported the problem to Apple and hope for a better driver release.

That's too bad... because rippled water works fine on 256MB cards on the Mac and even 128MB cards (like on the iMac) when running under Windows w/BootCamp.

The latest version of Mac OS X (10.4.7) included updated OpenGL and ATI drivers, but while these improved other programs they did nothing for SL.

Oh well... =(
