I have a Dual Core G5, 2.3 GHz with 3.5 GB RAM, 1TB HD, 128 video ram and would love to get into DJing as a side line (mostly for private use at my shop when i offer events, instead of having to pay a DJ).

I've looked at a few programs, but the two that I've seen are out of my price range to buy .. i could have sworn I saw a write up that allowed one to use iTunes alone to steam music into SL, but cant find any referance for that.

I'd love to be able to talk over my mic, but if i can't well not an issue, just being able to steam music into SL for private events at my shop would suit me just fine.

Thanks in advance, take care.

I also use Nicecast...great software, especially for the price! Just wish it came with a better manual on how to use all the features.

I have both a pc and a mac and heard such great things about Nicecast..so I went ahead and got it... BUT...silly me, forgot to check my mac's os and it's way out of date, so I have to update the software, but when I do, I'm looking forward to trying out Nicecast. Makes me feel a little better that it's gotten such good comments here... :)

Yes, stream to a server, if you are behind a router, you will be strying to stream to a private IP address by using the default settings.

Go into the Effect window and use the voice over effect.
