Latest Mac version can't mount

I've had problems with the automatic update feature and got a message to download the latest client directly from the website. After downloading 1.9.0 (21), when I try to mount the .dmg file I get a message saying "no mountable file systems". Is anyone else seeing this? I've downloaded it 3 or 4 times with the same results.

Any feedback will help

If you *have* been able to download and mount 1.9.0.21 for the Mac, it would help to know that also. After two messages to support, I haven't heard anything from LL, so I'd like to know if this works for anyone. Thx.

Did you check to see what application is trying to mount the *.dmg file? Or if you have multiple versions of the "DiskImageMounter.app" ? Maybe a shareware file compressor has taken over the handling of *.dmg files?
(just guesses)

It's being opened by DiskImageMounter, and only one version on my hard drive (not that I can see that it would matter).

Have you been able to upgrade to the newest client? Did you use the auto-upgrade feature in SL or did you download and mount the dmg directly?

Worked ok for me

I was able to download the client update and upgrade to the new version through the automatic update. It took a while and the connection timed out a couple of times but it worked in the end.

Worked on both my imac G5 and ibook G4.

Sorry to hear you're having problems with this.

Me too. I always use the auto-update and have never had a problem. Mystifying.

Other standard troubleshooting stuff would be to run software update and make sure all your system software is up to date. Rebooting the machine works a surprising amount of times, even when you think it shouldn't.

If you are not using the auto-update and are grabbing the *.dmg file manually, you could check into the utility you are using to do that.

Some FTP transfer utilities for instance can corrupt the file if the wrong settings are used. A corupted *.dmg file could maybe give the same error message.
