On the MAC, can someone tell me what command I use to make my avatar sit down? I am a newbie but have searched every help resource I have found. Thanks.

you have a lot to learn about SL. If you just want the right-click and sit option (which doesnt always really "sit" then right clicking in SL is CMD+click not CTRL+click.

Two Button Mouse

I bough a cheap Logitech two button mouse with the twiddly scroll wheel. On sale for about $10. Plugged right in and worked with no problem. Right click on yer AV and get a 'circular menu' with some commands for changing clothes and other things, right click on the ground, not on yer AV and get another 'circular menu' with the sit here command and some others. If you right click on another person's AV you get a 'circular menu' about making friends and so forth. I'm a new guy too. I hope this helps.

I got it for surfing the web but it works pretty good for SL, still $10. Those 'circular menus' are called 'target menus' click on different things and get different sets of commands.
