New problem? what flavour of PBG4? Specs? OS version?
What kind of surface are you using it on? did you do any hardware upgrades recently? has the machine experienced any blunt force trauma? Describe the freeze?
Computers locking up is no fun, and I hope you resolve it, but a bit more data is needed to attempt to make an accurate diagnosis.

Everything is freezing. Macs. PCs. Linux Boxen. It's the end of the metaverse. A virtual Armageddon. My avatars look like death. Or maybe it's just dark out. Who knows.

My ibook G4 freezes a couple times a night---more in crowded places with a lot of flashing lights like a club. I have max memory and "OS 10.3. whatever" with 10.4 coming any day. So far the new upgrade, once I was able to use it, has been ok with rezzing and colors the same as before. I followed all the advice here about settings.

Maybe my best SL machine blew up just at the right time, I won't get it back till tomorrow and it looks like yet another update is due then ! I logged in on my iMac a couple of times over the holiday and found I couldn't even move my AV! Gave up trying ... fingers crossed for tomorrow. and even the forum seems to be freezing today
