This seems crazy, so I thought I would see if anyone else is seeing it.
I sometimes run World of Warcraft at the same time as SL, so I can go to a Live Music event in SL, but also play WoW.
Since 1.10 I have been getting very strange intermittent lockups when running SL and WoW at the same time. This is on an Intel iMac under OSX.
What happens) The display (all windows, everything except the mouse pointer) locks up. The mouse pointer no longer changes when it moves from window to window, so I assume the mouse movement is being done in hardware, and the screen is actually not being updated. There is a lot of evidence that things are still running even though the screen is locked: The current audio stream will keep playing forever. If I have iTunes running, iTunes keeps on playing and doesn't end.
How to reproduce) This is a little harder to pin down. Basically, if I run WoW and SL at the same time, *sometimes* I will get this lockup. Usually it occurs within 1-2 minutes of starting SL and WoW, but not immediately.
Some helpful facts) This *never* happened under the alpha/beta Intel OSX client (1.9) 2) Has happened 4 times since 1.10 came out, for sure with both 1.10.0.34 and 1.10.1 3) Neither SL nor WoW has *ever* locked up on me when the other was not also running. I have not been able to isolate the cause further than this...I usually have a number of other apps running, so it might be more complicated than just WoW + SL. 4) I have two display, and I usually run SL on one and WoW on the other. I only have one video card however (the built-in Radeon Mobile X1600) so I assume that my 128 meg of video ram has to be shared somehow between both apps.

I wondered where you were...
This is happening to the PPC Mac users, the Windows users, and the Linux users too. It's an undocumented new feature that gets rid of 10% - 20% of the users.
Queue Idiot Post claiming how great the new version is and how it never locks up. -=>

SL 1.10 graphically is more demanding. Your settings in SL probably got tweaked and it simply cant handle running the 2 as it did b4 due to it. It's nothing to do with a problem just your not really supposed to run 2 games at the same time most of the time to begin with. This is most likely what is causing you to lock up. SL is pretty demanding to begin with so running that on top of WoW i can see why. Im not sure why you didnt lock up b4 mabye good computer or something.
But a change here and there can goof that up so *shrugs*

It should not be possible to completely hang the display from user space. The reason I thought it might be a bug: It seems like the video card is locking up, but not the rest of the system. This to me indicates that there might be a race condition or a deadlock in the code that could be fixed. Just wondered if anyone else had seen the same type of bug.
