Of course, we won't say anything about the potential security risks doing something like that, lol.

A Linden made solution (Silo by Zero Linden) uses PHP to store/retrieve/delete data in a full perms folder, so I think my solution is a lot more powerful (with AppleScript *YOU* can make your Mac do almost anything) and at least equally secure: my PHP script ONLY WRITES TEMPORARY DATA into the folder. One simpler way (the only one I could find on the Net!!!) was to setup direct AppleScript execute from PHP, but the server needed admin privileges!!! THAT is security risk!!! Using folder actions would have been simpler too for my solution, but it makes applications "flicker" sometimes. # Piero
