I have an "old" 15in Powerbook. It's fun, however, I don't get anywhere near decent performance in SL. I'd like to know what I should be expecting for performance. I have little else running in the background, yet it's still on the slow side. I have added 1gb of ram (1.25g total) so it's not that.
Does anyone have any advice?

Does anyone have any advice? How much video RAM? Apple was *VERY* stingy with video RAM in the older Powerbooks. My old TiBook had 32MB VRAM, which isn't really enough to run SL decently at all. You may have to drop draw distance to near zero and won't be able to hang out in busy places like Lusk, Ahern and so on. Good luck in any case... -Z

I'm hoping that my school grant (6 months, meh) will allow me to buy a new MBP, however, i'm not counting on it.
