For example keys combination edit and ctrl+1 used in Windows system to check information about an object in possession of another resident (as to say creator name etc..)it doesn't work in Mac (I'm not able to read these information because all is inactive) ...is there another way? Thanks for your answer

What happens on your Mac when you try it? CTRL-1 brings up the focus tool on both the Mac and PC for me.

No Milla if you make edit on an object belonging to another avatar and then ctrl 1 you can see properties of the object as to say creator name, owner, measures etc...(normally you can't do it) and I'm sure because I have 2 pc and when I use windows system it works... Anyone knows equivalent keys string for Mac users??? Thanks

One possibility would be that the key combo is mapped to something else, weren't ctrl-1 etc. the defaults for Spaces in Leopard? Some quality time in the system prefs might turn up something. Thx You would want that turned off to look at other people's stuff. ETA: it could be a bug in the version of the viewer running on the windows version, if the problem is that somehow Ctrl-1 is displaying object properties that aren't supposed to be revealed.

To know what the creators name is you can right click (cmd-click I think on Mac), press more 2 times and then you get "Inspect" at the pie menu. You will then see the owner and creator in a separate window.
I only have windows, but it doesn't matter if "select only my objects" is turned on or off. I open the edit window with Ctrl-1, right click (cmd click) on an object and see all about that object in the edit window - inactive of course, because it's not my object.

Wol, SL Guided Tours Yes wolw I make inspect but I can't see the number of prims necessary to built it for example or measures of the object ..and you are right the window is inactive but you can read ..I can't read anything all is empty ..... I don't know why all these difference between a system and another one... I love my Mac but I think in SL it is limited...sigh

I love my Mac but I think in SL it is limited...sigh If you can see all the numbers on other people's objects (sizes and rotations) when they have not given you edit rights, that is a bug in the viewer you are using under Windows. The numbers are supposed to be hidden for objects you can't modify, that is part of the permission system. You should always be able to see basic information like the creator, owners, number of prims, but not enough information to build a copy of the object. Sometimes when objects won't show anything, it helps to right-click and edit the object a second time, after the edit window is already on the screen. This problem can happen under all operating systems. In that same Tools menu, make sure that Select Only Movable Objects is also OFF.

Again that unanswered Question: did you turn off the "Select only my objects" option? Ref: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3788However, there seems to be some problem, because on a 1.25.5 Server (where I make my tests) I have full visibility (like others do). Wol

Sorry for my vent They should laugh at LL, actually. Why can't we Mac users be treated like everybody else? We've got one of the best Unix systems ever made, an SL runs horribly.

I do not understand what the problem is or what you are trying to do...
Ctrl+1 brings up the build window on the camera control tab.... its not supposed to be for selecting an item to view things, its for moving the camera around...
If you want to open the Build window up and have it open automatically on the Edit tab, so that you can click on something to select it and read who made it, how many prims, etc... then you hit Ctrl+3
