Hey guys.
Does anyone know how to make the LSL emulate a Windows left-click?
I've searced the forums and can't find an answer but have been known to miss stuff before so if the answer's already posted, please point me in the right direction.
Specifically, what we're trying to do is make a melee combat system similar to the many ones that already exist, but as many of you have probably discovered, are not very Mac-friendly. In any I've found, a combatant has to left-click in order to strike.
If there's a simple command (and it ain't cntrl-click folks) that SL and the LSL would read as a left-click, so much the better.
Thanks in advance
cheers snow

I don't.
Still pretty old school. LL maps the keys wrong in the game. They use Apple-click instead of the Ctrl-click standard.

I'm using a mac and I have no problem left-clicking.... i think the poster meant Right click, not left click... but yes CMD+click is right click in SL and many other 'games' and such I've played. the OS uses CTRL+click, and then some other programs that need to reserve the use of those buttons to work right use alt/option + click, like Citrix ICA Client. if your using any program on a mac with a 1 button mouse and you need to right click, try all 3 of those buttons

From: someone if your using any program on a mac with a 1 button mouse and you need to right click, try all 3 of those buttons Apples stubborn refusal to supply proper mice with its computers is mind boggling it really is ! But honestly any Mac user who's still using the one button mouse really needs to get with the picture. A mouse is about the cheapest peripheral you can buy, Mac users can purchase any standard USB, two button + wheel mouse made for the PC. Microsoft make a good range , so do Logitech and many others. You don't need drivers so if it comes with a PC CD just ignore the CD and plug the mouse straight in. The only time you'll need a special mouse driver is for mice with more than 3 buttons. If you're not using a 2 button mouse with your Mac you're just making your own life harder. If you're using a Mac notebook with a Trackpad, check out SideTrack , a great replacement driver for the apple trackpad, SideTrack lets you set up the pad to have clickable areas for right and middle buttons and also lets you use the pad for scrolling too. It comes with a nice easy preference pane to set it up. But if you're in SL on a notebook I advise getting a mouse ! And of course Apple do make a good multi button mouse called Mighty Mouse . It's also very good but I find the little scroll ball a bit too small and set too far up the mouse for my own liking.
