I'm thinking of upgrading Leopard to Snow Leopard on my second-series MacBook Pro 2.5 GHz 4GB RAM, GeForce 8600M GT machine. Are there any known bugs or problems (e.g. specific additional upgrades required) to run SL on the regular Linden Viewer, or the Hippo viewer, using Snow Leopard?
NB My hard disc also hosts Windows Vista which I run using Boot Camp, but I assume that the Mac OS install will affect only the Mac 'side' of my hard disc. If I'm wrong, someone please tell me...
Many thanks! Christi

Snow Leopard 10.6.2

I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 on a Mac Book Pro with 4 GB and can report no problems so far. SL runs pretty good and the image quality and refresh is excellent with the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics. I'm using the standard Linden viewer.

On a year old, 13" aluminum macbook, 4 gig, Nvidia 9400. Also fwiw, because I needed some windows software, I loaded Windows7 in bootcamp, fully expecting to see the improvement this board would suggest for the windows clients - nope - frame rate, rez speed, and most other features are virtually indistinguishable.

I'm running SL on a year old MacBook Pro 13' with Nvidia 9400M too and I get very sluggish response while walking around. It seems to stutter a lot when objects and buildings are appearing. Is this normal? I've even tried with low quality graphics and a small window and still stutters a lot.
Thnaks!

Thnaks! How much in RAM ??? I am starting to get worried cause I am thinking of buying a Mac Mini also with Geforce 9400 for better SL flow - But the new Mini brings 2,53 proc and 4Gig RAM

Thnaks! That's your connection, not your Mac. Are you on wireless?
