Hi,
Like others on this site I have a brand new 24" iMac, core 2 duo and NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS.
My old G5 iMac ran SL fine for years. Last week I upgraded, opened SL and it ran for about one minute before it froze. I forced quit.
Since then whenever I open SL the following message appears before I even get the application open: 'SL Alert. SL appears to have frozen or crasjed on the previous run. Would you like to send a crash report?'
I have downloaded and installed a new version of SL without success.
Can anybody help me get back in world?
Many thanks, Elliot.

when you downloaded SL again, did you manually delete the Second Life folder it builds in your Application Support folder? just deleting the Second Life.app doesnt get rid of everything. If you migrated from your old computer to this one, then all the settings in there are still for your old computer. You need to try trashing that folder, its in your user account home directory's Library under Application Support.
