Is there a way to run multiple copies of Second Life on OS X? I've finally gone and made myself an alt through which to do business to keep things a bit separated, and also to run my money tree and things through (since I hate having a bzillion "You gave some newb L$1" messages on my screen and in my transaction history). But it's going be a pain to update if I have to keep logging in and out, especially since I need to buy my shop from myself and LL give us no way of protecting the transaction.

There's a much simpler way. Just create additional user accounts (system prefs/account), enable fast user switching, and run SL on the multiple accounts. I've had 4 going on an intel imac, although it's a pretty useless experience. 3 at once is OK, you can at least move and do stuff.

If your intent is to camp multiple alts, then I take it back...there's no way to run multiple copies :P

Cheers! Got it working now :)

And lol Island, I understand that heh! But no, it's just some innoccent transfering of property in real-time, camping is evil, and to make L$3 a year per alt really isn't a big deal for me, I'll make my money faster ways if I can :D
