Hi everyone... I've just gotten my MacBook Pro back from being repaired (graphics chip was bad) and I've missed my SL. I've been trying to get back and play like normal, but every time I'm on for more than 5 minutes my whole system freezes or SL completely freezes, and I have to force the program to quit or I have to manually shut off the computer all together. Now I have the high end MacBook Pro, running Tiger... and if anyone can give me any ideas what is going on and why I consistently crash, I would love to have an answer so I can get back to second life as normal.

Thanks a bunches!!

Is there a reason you're running Tiger instead of Leopard on a new MBP?

The MacBook Pro was bought with Tiger OS on it, and Leopard wasn't released until 3 months after I purchased my MackBook Pro... so I haven't had the money to upgrade. Do you think this may be the issue?

I think that to whatever degree SL is optimized for Mac at all (read: not much), it does run best on a more recent OS.

Leopard came out in 2007, going on two years ago, and SL has been through many changes since then. I would bet that just moving over to Leopard from Tiger will help a lot.

I am using Snow Leopard, cost £20 to upgrade, nothing to bank breaking... SL runs glitch free, lag-less (well...as lag free as SL can be..) and with no crashes.. as yet... =]
