Not sure if this a Mac thing or just SL. I've started building stuff, and I find that while editing an object and applying a texture, that while trying one to see how it looks, the object often reverts back to a previously tried texture while I'm scrolling down the list of textures for another to try. Further, folders within the inventory of textures pop open even if I close them.
Once I've selected one I like, if I click "Select" fast enough, then I'm OK. But if I'm looking at it for a couple seconds, often, it will jump back to a previous texture.
I'm running on a MacBook Pro, core2duo, 2GB RAM.

If you look in the texturing forums, you'll see this complaint. Textures frequently revert back to original, it is a bug that was introduced some time ago. Best advice is to select texture a few times (especially if you are retexturing multiple prims at once), then deselect the prims, and wait a few seconds because sometimes they will flicker but eventually 'take.'
So happily (or sadly), this one's not discriminatory against your OS.
Cheers! Mystikal
