hi all, i've searched google and i also found a page to download an add on for photoshop being able to read j2c files, but to be honest, i've not heard of this page and i don#t really trust them either. so my question: does anyone know how i can change the settings for my inworld camera so it will make bmp's instead of j2c's??? i know it used to work, because my friend is using a macbook pro as well, and she had never had her pics saved as j2c. i have the same computer and we both have the same viewer 1.19. i hope someone can help me, because my picture viewers and programs (photoshop 5.5 and gimp) are not able to read the pics .... ( thanx very much in advance and have a great day! TC.M.

Go to the Advanced menu, and uncheck "Compress snapshots to disk". This will cause your client to stop saving the snapshots in .j2c format, and to use .bmp instead. Photoshop and Gimp should both open .bmp just fine.

GraphicConverter can open the .j2c files, if you would like to get the ones you already took into a more widely supported format.
