hi, i'm currently using our mac mini while i'm waiting on my pc to be repaired. i have OS X installed on it and have successfully used SL on my husbands laptop (which i installed myself with no problem) which is also a mac with OS X.

unfortunately when i drag it into my my application folder and it copies it that is all it does. when i drag it down into the toolbar at the bottom it bounces once vs the normal several times like on my husbands lap top and rahter than having options to open or exit it simply has 'show in finder'

i have tried opening it straight from the applications folder with the same result. i have no idea what is happening and not being that familiar with mac's i don't really even know where to start. even my husband who loves his mac (yes his powerbook is growing on me) has no clue whatsoever as to why it's not working.

any help would be very much appreciated, i'm already really in a bad way businesswise on sl because i was without phone and isp for 2 weeks due to incompetancy of my phone company, i really need to get this sorted as i may be without my pc for a week *groans*

thanks to anyone that reads this

I run SL with a Mac Mini without problems.
My favorite tips for fixing things like this are:
1. Run DISK TOOLS to be sure your hard drives and permissions are okay/fixed if necessary.
2. Be sure that your mac system software is Up to Date. (use the software update menu item in the Apple menu)
3. Create a Userid on the Mac for yourself. Call it "Xzavia ".
Log out of the mac, and log into Xzavia.
4. Download a fresh copy of SL
5. Install and run.
