SL no longer launches on desktop G4 or G5... ???

I recently tried running SL on my dual 450mHz PowerMac G4 (1 GB RAM, GeForce2 MX). It's worked in the past, but somewhere during the past few months, it just stopped. To be specific, when I open the SL application, it seems like it's launching, then all of a sudden it closes and brings up the usual "This program has crashed. Would you like to report it?" message.

I also tried running it on a 1.8 gHz G5 (1 GB RAM, GeForce FX 5200), and it's the same thing (worked fine before, now crashes on launch.)

Has there been anything in the past few months' updates that may have caused it?

Side note: I usually run SL on my 1.2 gHz iBook G4 (768 MB RAM, Radeon 9200 Mobile), and it works fine on there.

That's the configuration (early iMac G5) that a few of us have. SL loads and runs, for a while, but eventually (usually after a couple hours) will crash the machine with a kernel panic, since 1.9 came along. (It hasn't happened with 1.9.21, yet, but I haven't run that for more than a few minutes, so far.)
