New Windlight Client GUI Problem

The latest version of the Windlight client (Second Life 1.19.0 (79185)) has some new user interface tweaks, most of which seem to be at least minor improvements. Unfortunately, I have a real problem with one change. The lists in windows like the Groups and Friends lists are displayed for me with a really dark background, and when selected show no highlighting...not fatal, but definitely annoying. I'm curious as to whether others are experiencing the same thing, or if this is somehow a more unique quirk of my system. I'd also like to know if there is any way to adjust the interface component colors myself. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this subject.

Yes, I and many others are seeing the same problem too on the Mac, it appears that a fix will be on its way in the next Windlight client release as reported in the JIRA : http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-4565

Right! Also, at least on my iMac, search results are in white text over white background... can't see a thing!
And, land parcel boundaries are invisible... something I use daily.

The problem with lists is fixed in the most recent release candidate. They should port that fix to Windlight in the next release of that.

Windlight won't even open anymore

I miss my Windlight..this newest release just crashes when it begins to start up..then it tries to send a crash report to an "alternate server" and that too crashes *sniff*. Windows recognizes it as a program compatibility issue, but I can't find any information on how to solve the problem, if I can.

I cracked the prob...I had to find the Windlight program and right click and choose run as administrator. Now, I can get my Windlight fix again *claps*

The Windlight client and the regular Second Life client are separate things. If you want to use the regular Second Life client you log out of Windlight and log in to Second life. If you do not have the shortcuts on your desktop, find the client you want use in your program list on your computer. Hope this helps :)
