OK, Got the update...NOTHING...Still no login...HELP!

What am I missing??? I've always been able to download the update, install it and boom, all is mostly fine. This new belayed update (fix) gave me nothing but the same difficulty at login. Anybody got any clues??

The autoupdater may be having issues (especially if you have renamed or moved your Second Life application from the /Applications folder (not the home/Applications folder).

Try these steps:

1. Check the version number. Sometimes launching SL from a SLURL, SLUniverse.com or a secondlife:// address can cause the wrong version of the client to launch. The version number is in the lower-right-hand corner. It should be 1.10.0.34.

2. Delete all copies of Second Life on your computer.

3. Wipe out the home/Library/Application Support/Second Life folder. This zaps your cache, user settings and other SL-related files. If your settings.ini file was corrupt, this'll replace it with a shiny new one.

4. Download a fresh copy of Second Life from http://secondlife.com/download . Don't use the auto-updater, as we're not sure if the login problems would prevent it from actually functioning.

Let me know if you still can't get logged in.

Confirmed -- the Auto-updater is not working. You must go to http://secondlife.com/download to get the new client.

Thanks! I used the download page earlier anyway. Deleting old copies and files seemed to do the trick. At least I'm able to login now. No time right now to run around....RL calls. I'll give it a thorough thrashing later this weekend.
