Hi Oerbewustzijn,

Are you talking about Audacity?
If so....

1. Just load a wav sound to the Audacity.
2. Select 9.5 sec range from top of the wave with mouse cursor and cut it.
3. Open a new edit window and paste it.
4. Save the new pasted one as xxxx(your fav name)_00.wav
5. Loop from 2 to 4 until all done. Don't forget the increment of the save file's last number, like 01, 02, 03....
6. Uploade them in SL.
7. Use this script. It is wonderful. ;)

Hope this helps you.

Just one thing, I forgot to tell.

Project rate which you see left lower corner on the window must be 44,100Hz.
Good luck. :)

If you can upload and listen to them even though softly, you are not wrong at all.

Possible cause;

1. Sound's volume is related to the distance between sound objects and your camera positon.
Was the object included sound files far from you? Or didn't you see the world by third person's (default) view?

2. The source files' volume was still originally.
You can turn up the volume to move "Gain" slider on left side of the Audacity window. You had to select all (command + a), and move "Gain" slider to the right hand side (+) to try playing to tweak before cutting it.

3. You'd better to check out "Audio/Video" of the SL program's preferences which I'm not sure about.

Hope this helps you.
