Hello everybody, i dont know if this is the right forum for my problem (hope so!) . My corporate net is protected by a firewall which however let for instance Skype to work through port 443 . SL could in theory work through the same port. Trying to set the custom port in preferences gives me only the option of changing from 3200 to 3250 (which is not working) does somebody know how to change this setting..? I am on a Imac 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
Thanks a lot..

I'm not sure this is possible without using things like tunnelling which I believe can let you establish a connection to the correct ports while going through an open one.
The problem is that SL simulators only accept incoming connections on a range of port numbers, you HAVE to connect to these ports. When you change the port number in the SL viewer you're only changing what port you try to access on the target simulator(s), you can't change what port is made available to you.
Why are you trying to access SL from a corporate network? If your reason is in any way related to the business itself, then you should ask for that port to be made open for you, otherwise you should stop using your company's internet to play games =P
