TO KEEP SL RUNNING ALL THE TIME:

I found the crazy need to get my avitar washing windows, or mopping the floor for Lindens. But when I walk awy from the computer, to do real life stuff. I come back to find SL trying to shut down, and my Avitar is no longer making money.

What can I do about this, if anything?

You are being logged off for inactivity.

You are probably spending more in electricity and computer wear-and-tear than you are earning in L$. If you want money, its likely cheaper for you to just buy it through Lindex.

Jacques is correct.
But if you're gonna work for Lindens anyway, you need to adjust 2 settings:
1. your Mac will go to sleep, and this will make SL sleep. So go to System Preferences, and tweak the SCREENSAVER off and the ENERGY SAVER off.
2. SL also has a Pref that controls sleep. In SL Preferences, General, AWAY TIMEOUT, set to zero.

You do NOT need to buy a Script that runs continuously-slowing down the sim-just to keep from getting logged off. There are long long threads in the forums about how these are Definitely Not Needed. Search the forums for why people think such devices are 'impolite'.
