I know, this is so stupid. I've looked everywhere online, on MacWorld, the forums so I think I must be the only one with this issue. I'm in Orientation, and I cannot get past the second level, I'm stuck there banging into windows. Up key does not work. Anyone?
Thanks,

Are you on a MAC? If so you need to press either the option key or apple key or something to fly up. On my MAC laptop, the arrow key just zooms me ahead.
Good luck and welcome!

fly is a toggle button on the bottom of your screen... or you can press F.
PgUp and E keys will fly up.... PgDn and C keys will fly down, and normal arrows keys will fly around like walking.

I've had the experience of using Second Life on a MacBook Pro running Windows XP under Boot Camp. (It's in a computer lab at school. The systems are dual-boot, but they run Windows most of the time because they're used by programming classes that use Visual Studio.) On that configuration, the PageUp and PageDown keys (which are supposed to be Fn plus arrow keys) don't work, so you have to use one of the other methods to fly. The keys DO work under OS X.
Fortunately, the MacBook Pro had a three button mouse attached. I think a multibutton mouse is pretty much a requirement to use Boot Camp effectively, because there is no workaround for the missing right button when you're running Windows. So when are we going to get a MacBook with a trackpad that has more than one button?

you don't need more than one button to do right and left click. The Macbooks and Macbook Pros already can do this fine, even under Windows. If you have tap enabled on the pad, you can tap 2 fingers for a right click. If you have that disabled, you can hold two fingers on the pad and click the button for a right click. If those don't work, check the mouse settings to make sure its not disabled.

I NEVER have tap enabled on a trackpad -- not since I lost half a document because of that "feature". The misfeature -- select a bunch of text by accidentally dragging on the trackpad, then type a letter. Poof -- all the selected text is gone.
The other method sounds like it's possible, but a pain. I'd rather just have a second button on the machine. And it is my belief that if Apple is serious about wanting to get Windows people to switch to the Mac, they would have an easier time of it if they offered a second button. (I'd also like to see an optional keyboard -- one with the Option and Alt keys swapped, so that the Alt key would be where Windows and Linux users expect it to be. Easy enough to do on a desktop system by just using a non-Apple keyboard, but the notebooks are another story.)

well i dont agree at all... I am not a long time Mac user... and i always hated their 1 button mouse... but i love the trackpads they use now, with two finger scrolling and double touch click. I too turn off tap clicking, and use the button, but its very fast and easy just using two finger click than trying to click some other button... its fantastic... I could never get down clicking and using those pointing sticks or trackpads on other brand laptops. I wish I could find a USB external trackpad just like it for my desktops
