Game play capture to movie

The only program that I know of that captures a select part of the screen to a movie (Quicktime .mov) is Ambrosia Software's Snapz Pro X. It's at http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/ it cost $70 but I believe you can find a early version for free if you look hard enough. This also does stills but you can always use OS's built-in screen capture Command-Shift-3 for full screen or Command-Shift-4 for selected part of the screen. The stills are saved as .PDF.

I use SNAPnDRAG to capture screens and windows and selections on my mac.
Its better than the built in screen capture (IMHO). I've not needed a motion grabber. Have you looked on 'www.versiontracker.com'? |

I take an awful lot of screenshots for SecondSeeker.com and I'm also on a Macintosh.
I've always used the built-in screen shot taking commands. Why? You see, SL lets you set the size of your screen that way. I set it fairly large. This lets me crop at leisure. It also ensure that all the UI elements are not visible. For my purposes, that is desirable. Oh, the screenshots are quite large this way but I use OS X built-in "Automator" to convert them to jpgs. Piece of cake! _____________________

The in-game motion grabber, however, seems more-or-less useless.
